Tanga Pasi
"Tanga Pasi" is Kalanga for 'Starting from Scratch'. This is the name of the new band that we are slowly but surely building up in our home village in western Zimbabwe. With two guitars, a bass, traditional percussion and a harmonica, we are learning as we go. The band is focussing on acapella harmonies right now, to complement guitar-based songs with a unique homegrown style. Visit Tanga Pasi webpage
Sinini Ngwenya
Sinini is a professional musician and performer. His first solo album, DZANDAMUBHATILA, was recorded in 2006 and is in the style of imbube. Sinini is known for his innovative and experimental Nu-Afrow music and developed unique fusion sounds in the stunning album, GETJENGE REPUBLIC. The latest album, EMOYENI, was recorded and mixed in Oxford, England. Now based in Southern Africa, he is director of the Tanga Pasi music project
