Fatsani Mendula
Fatsani is (usually) a man of harmony and sings backing vocals on most of our tracks. He also plays bass and drums. Fatsani is a former member of Bulawayo-based imbube and traditional dance group, Ihubo lesizwe, and has been singing since his days at Ngwana Primary School.
Fidzani Dube
Fidzani is sadly unwell and currently on sick leave. We look forward to his return.
Nicholas Moyo
Nico has been learning bass since 2009 and is now famous in the village as a dubb master. Nevertheless, he is still very fond of his cattle and spends too much time looking for lost cows, we think. He also plays drums, sings a mean soprano and has the loudest laugh in the group, for sure.
Pamela Ngwenya
Pamela provides backing and occasionally lead vocals with Tanga Pasi. She also plays harmonica, piano, guitar and percussion and her ramblings often make their way into our song lyrics. She pioneered the use of the baked bean can in the band and usually makes the tea, unless she’s on strike.
Simon Gabi
Simon is the only band member who is not 'starting from scratch' on the guitar. He is, we think, a true master, having been inspired by his father Tererai and taught by David Kasomali. Simon is also the only member not based in Plumtree- he hails from Masvingo and speaks Shona.
Sinini Ngwenya
Sinini is the lead vocalist and song-writer in the band. He specialises in acapella vocals and rhythm guitar, as well as traditional Southern African dance. He started the band in 2009 after many years of experience in the youth imbube group White Umfolosi and later with U Zambezi. He also has 3 solo albums, recorded in the UK.
Tangisani Ndebele
Tangi recently emerged from the Botswanan bush. Tangi is a vocalist and percussionist with Tanga Pasi, but is also found covering on the bass and dancing in a trance to the beat at the front of the stage.
